O - orange = oranž
Õppisime värve. Kui teiste värvide jaoks on inglise keeles eri sõnad,
siis oranži jaoks on eesti ja inglise keeles sama sõna:
oranž = orange
sinine - blue
punane - red
kollane - yellow
roheline - green
roosa - pink

PROJECT PLAN / in English
Letters to Friends
Project aims
At the end of the project, children will:
• Have a developing respect for their own culture and beliefs and those of other people.
• Have extended their vocabulary, exploring the meaning and sounds of new words.
• Be able to link sounds to letters, naming and sounding the letters of the alphabet.
• Be able to use their phonic knowledge to write simple regular words.
• Have explored colour, texture, shape, form and space in two dimensions.
• Have used a digital art program and a digital camera.
• Be able to use ICT to express ideas and communicate with others.
Process
Children will use a digital art package and/or a digital camera to create a series of pictures with words, illustrating the alphabet.
Each schoolwill produce pictures for alternate letters of the alphabet.
Each school will use their own language in the pictures, but teachers will collaborate to ensure they understand the meaning of the words used
Pictures will be exchanged and similarities and differences discussed.
Evaluation
The project will be complete when each school has sent a complete set of pictures illustrating the alphabet.
The criteria for success are
• Full set of pictures exchanged
• Children using digital art program and digital camera with confidence.
• Children able to link sound, letters and pictures.
• Children aware that other people speak different languages and able to say a few words in the partner language.

Õpetaja: Deborah Conway-Read
Projekti eesmärgid:
• Kasvatada õpilastes austust omaenda ja teiste rahvaste kultuuri ja uskumuste vastu.
• Laiendada õpilaste sõnavara, kasutades uute sõnade tähendust ja hääldust.
• Anda õpilastele võimalus kasutada värvi, tekstuuri, kujundeid ja vormi kahes dimensioonis.
• Anda õpilastele võimalus digitaalse kunstiprogrammi PaintNet ning digitaalkaamera tundmaõppimiseks ja kasutamiseks.
• Projekti lõpuks õpilased:
- on võimelised seostama hääldust tähtedega, nimetades ja hääldades tähestiku tähti;
- oskavad kasutada oma foneetilisi teadmisi, et kirjutada lihtsaid igapäevaseid sõnu;
- on võimelised kasutama IT vahendeid, et väljendada oma ideesid ja suhelda teistega.
Tegevused:
Õpilased kasutavad lisaks joonistamisele ka arvutit ja digikaamerat, et luua pildiseeria sõnadega, mis illustreeriks tähestikku.
Mõlemad koolid loovad oma pildid tähestiku illustreerimiseks. Piltidel kasutatakse oma keelt, õpetajad teevad koostööd, et õpilased saaksid aru kasutatud sõnade tähendusest.
Pilte vahetatakse ja arutatakse läbi erinevused ja sarnasused.
Hinnang:
Projekt on täidetud, kui mõlemad koolid on teineteisele saatnud kogu komplekti pilte, mis illustreerivad tähestikku.
Edu kriteeriumid on:
• Tähestikupiltide täiskomplekt on teineteisele saadetud.
• Õpilased oskavad kasutada PaintNet-i ja digitaalkaamerat.
• Õpilased oskavad seostada hääldust, tähti ja pilte.
